My dear Homa,

I am just sending you this mail, to record my deep appreciation of the care and love, that our Hospital staff has shown to my family and me. My wife, Gitanjali, was admitted, in mid- March,  for Knee Replacement surgery, under Dr

Jamshed Bunshah.

As always, we had a wonderful experience in our Hospital (though, of course, no one wants to have an experience in a hospital).

All our staff, from admission to discharge, gave us every help and showed wonderful efficiency. 

She was admitted in the 2nd Floor, A-Wing, and we stayed for 8 days, of which, 1 day was in the ICU … (just as a post-operative precaution).

I would like to convey to you, and to our Managing Committee, our appreciation for all our staff, but, would like to particularly mention some, who, were exceptional. First and foremost, our General Manager, Mr. Neville

Jamshedji. His wife, Farida, was admitted in the same ward, when we were coming in for admission. The ward was rather full, and the only rooms available were much smaller ones. She was in a large, comfortable room.

When he  learnt that we were coming in for admission,  he and his wife very, very enerously moved into a smaller room, as she was likely to be discharged very shortly, and my wife was expected to stay for a longer time.  This was a wonderfully kind and heart – warming gesture … we are really grateful  to the both of them, as this made our stay extremely comfortable.

Our senior sister in charge of the ICU, Sr Madhura, was, as she has always been, extremely efficient, but more important, extremely gentle. Our sister-in-charge of the Operation Theatre, Sr Ruth, was efficient & very caring, as always. Sr Priya, in-charge, 2nd-Floor A-Wing, ensured that her staff looked after us very well, and, was, on a personal basis, extremely warm, and caring.

All the staff on our floor were very very loving and went the extra mile for us, but I would just like to mention, by name, who we remember with deep affection : Sisters Pramila, Bhavna, Simran & Siddhi, and Ayah Meera Goriya.

Our CNS, Ma’am Kiran  Sanket, was, as always, very kind, considerate and affectionate. She visited us regularly, to ensure that all was well.

She needs to be  complimented on her wonderful Nursing Staff. It’s only when the person at the top, is actively and intimately, involved in her juniors,  that the efficiency and care filters down to the lower levels.

And, I must reiterate, that all our Ward Boys, though they have usually limited interaction with female patients, were very, very helpful to us, as my wife, due to her physical constraints, required constant help with strong helpers, to assist in movement on and off her bed, walker,  et cetera. Our Security Chief, Mr Mishra, though not directly concerned with patient care, was, as he has been in the past, very graceful and

supportive, visiting regularly, to ensure that any requirements or help we needed from him or his all staff, were looked after. I would like to express my gratitude, to our Medical Superintendent, Dr Anuj Agarwal, for his constant help & support. And, last, but by no way least, a very, very huge thank you to our Dr Aditi Sawe Agarwal, in-charge, 

Anaesthesia Dept.

She went way, way beyond the call of duty, visiting many times every day, to affect changes in IV lines, pain – killing patches, et cetera. And, all this, when she was not even directly

part of the caretaking team.

We are very, very grateful to her, for her, very loving and gentle care.

Once again, please convey our gratitude to all our hospital staff for their care, and more importantly, love, and affection.
