Through my 19 day stay at the Parsi General Hospital I was extremely well taken care of by the doctors, nurses and allied staff. A special thanks goes out to Dr. Varun, Dr. Smita and the sister in charge of the 2nd floor.
They took such good care of me that my stay there felt not only comfortable but also very peaceful. Right from the admission stage to the discharge stage, I have only words of praise. It would be remiss if I did not mention
the delicious food, a three course meal daily, which was not only sumptuous but also nutritious.As always, I am very grateful to you both for the wonderful service the hospital is giving to our community. I was admitted on the 18th, operated on the 19th, and discharged on the 23rd. During my 5 days in your hospital I was introduced to Love, Care, and Dedication. I have not had an instance of discomfort, thanks to your dedicated staff. Your nurses (sp. Ms. Madhuri) are the best Florence Nightingales in the world, smiling, efficient, and attentive. Even their superiors, (especially Ms. More) were always on visits to see if all was well. This is a 5 Star Hotel + Love, Hospitality, and Care.
A word of appreciation for your Catering Dept, who would inquire daily if all was well with my continental meals.I came to your hospital with apprehension but with a breath of fresh air, I departed, sad that I was leaving behind a memory of caring friends.Requesting you to share my letter with all who were part of my happy stay in your beautiful hospital.

On the 12" of December last year, my grand-mother, Mrs. Amy F. Irani was admitted to
The Parsee General Hospital to undergo an emergency surgery to fix her broken arm.
Being almost 99 years of age, my family and | were extremely concerned and worried,
not only about putting her through the operation but also the post operative stay at the hospital.

However, by the grace of Ahura Mazda, all went well and today, she is almost back to her normal self, all thanks to the efforts of Dr. Jamshed Bunshah, Dr. Armaitty Contractor and their respective teams.

As I prepare to be discharged post a gall bladder surgery, a few thoughts on health care. While there are very many who criticise the Parsi General Hospital, I, for one would prefer it to any other, for the homely comforts it provides to all patients. The high ceilings, the huge space, the open gardens cannot be matched by any other hospital in my opinion. Yes, in terms of technology, it may not have everything needed for a hospital of this size but then, they are available within a short distance all around it.

Which hospital will admit patients first and allow them to pay their deposits later or allow them to be discharged by giving an undertaking that they will come subsequently and pay their bills.

The quality of doctors here is also unmatched; surely as good as any other.

The comfort of allowing guests to come and see patients at all times. Maybe some may not agree to call this a healthy practice. So be it.

I was about to prefer Jaslok Hospital over PGH this time, only for the fact that it has a tie-up with my ex office and the whole process would have been cashless for me.

But when the doctor showed preference for PGH, my mind was made up.

And all my life whenever we have been ill, PGH was the place we turned to.

God bless the Petit family and other Sethias who were responsible for creating this monument and God bless also those who have been donating throughout for its upkeep.

It is an unmatched monument for the Parsi community. A rock we all depend upon in our times of difficulties.

Sincerely hope a day comes when every medical facility will be available in-house. Amen

We went for the second dose for my wife to Parsee general hospital . It felt like being in the Garden of Eden.
In Pandemic times, it just reduced the anxiety . The service was immaculate, from security guards, to the reception and the people giving the vaccine . Pristine clean on all fronts, as in all areas of the hospital.

Waiting area post vaccine too was perfect with social distance maintained, and attic ate followed by one
and all . By far the best experience ever .

Once again thanks from both myself and my wife Anahita for having our 2nd dose at your esteemed Hospital.

There was no compromise between the facilities that we had observed on 1st April at the time of our 1st dose and now.

The staff as usual cordial and polite, the hospital superintendent was also seen supervising the vaccination drive, the 2nd dose was very well conducted at the hospital, since the details of 1st dose were already on hand.

Immediately vaccination certificates were once again handed out for 2nd dose , which is really commendable, on the understanding that there could be many who may not be having print-out facility and also keeping in mind from the point of view of senior citizens.

We must commend the hospital and your staff for the very pleasant experience, when we, my husband and I had our 2nd dose of covishield.

The organisation right from the entrance gate, through till the point we left was perfect in all spheres. The watchman was extremely courteous and every direction was pin point perfect. The precise instructions ensured that there was adequate distancing and at no point did we have to worry about contracting any virus due to over crowding. The priority given to senior citizens was a heart warming gesture & much needed in these times, even though it only increased our waiting time!!

Mrs. Zenobia Unwalla who had organised the appointment for us had also given us precise instructions which ensured that the process was smooth & we had all the required papers with us.

To end the entire process with warm tea/coffee & snacks was truly a warm touching gesture, adding a homely feel and touch which in my experience is not replicated elsewhere. Kudos to the entire team!! Thanking you

their best to ensure that people visiting hospitals for their vaccination are
taken care of. I would like to highlight the service given by one of your staff
Ms Nilufer Bam who not only addresses the concern of people present but also very
politely assures and takes care of all their queries. During my visit when I was
awaiting my turn I saw her address umpteen number of people who had come to the
hospital to get vaccinated and.many others who hadn't registered themselves and
had yet come and the patience that she had in answering the queries; I was
astonished that the lady had great patience and she saw to it that people while
leaving the desk were more than satisfied. In this hour of time when people would
care to have a safe distance from others I saw this lady doing her bit to ensure
that senior citizens who were not accompanied by their family were at ease.

Yesterday morning my appointment was fixed at your esteemed B.D. Petit Parsee General Hospital, for 1st dose of covid 19 vaccination and am proud to put on record my appreciation and observations about the manner in which the said vaccination was conducted.

Once inside the Hospital the following was observed:

1)The security at the gate checked the temperature, and directed me to meet the staff.

2)The appointment was verified by Madam: Nilufer, and she politely directed me to the 1st floor. 3)There were separate rooms designated as Before, During Verification, During Vaccination and also the waiting room as per the BMC protocol, all very well ventilated and lighted, further there were washrooms also well maintained.

4)Nurses were very polite and after vaccination gave crocin tablets as well, there was facility provided for tea/coffee with disposable glasses. (Irrespective of any community member the provision for crocin and tea/coffee was free).

5) Vaccination was given "Free of Cost", being a Parsee, much obliged.

My sincere thanks to the Petit family for their efforts taken to carry out this vaccination drive in this difficult times, along-with simultaneously maintaining the Hospital side by side.

We were really worried seeing his condition at the time of admission and kept on saying to Dr that Shavir is a differently able child and needs lot of support as a special child and one answer from the Dr. boosted my confidence that " he is specially able but he will be more special to us and you need not worry".
I am thankful to all the staff and treating Doctors of the B. D. My father Mr Yezdi Dubash was admitted as a covid case in April under Dr Armaity Contractor and Team. I would like to take the opportunity to thank the hospital and the Team for taking exemplary care of my father who was admitted at Parsi GEneral Hospital for Covid.

The Covid was a very bad mutation and his situation was critical.
During this time I would like to extend my deep gratitude to DR ARMAITY CONTRACTOR AND HER TEAM who have tirelessly worked towards the welfare of patients at the covid ward and of course towards my fathers' case and played a pivotal part in his subsequent recovery.

The care meted out to my father was timely, professional and well executed. The team was on the ball and the reception and sisters were always ready with prompt information to give me- given the fact that I was based overseas in the UAE and all flights were cancelled to Mumbai.

Dr Armity was giving regular updates and her attitude was calm, showing great fortitude and an ode to her seniority as a doctor is worth a mention and an asset to the institution.

Dr Noor was always kind, and gave my father who is 80yrs a lot of personal encouragement in the covid ward and played a very reassuring part in his post recovery.

A special mention to Dr Varoon, Dr Rutuja and the sisters at the covid ward.

post recovery period - A very professional attitude and demeanour displayed by Senior Nurse Head - Sister Sakshi and her team who were always on the ball.

Thank the ICU team and the admin Team Mr Cooper who has made the discharge so seamless.

Right upto the telephone operators who would take my overseas calls and promptly transfer it - a huge thank you to the first line of communication.

My father is home well and settled and recovering slowly.

To simply repeat this for hundreds of patients on a daily basis, the same care, the same attention is - humanity redefined as all the staff have their lives on the line during the pandemic.

I, Mr. Darius R. Dalal was admitted to The B. D. Petit Parsee General Hospital on 04/05/2021 and getting discharged on 18/05/2021. I have been overwhelmed with the service provided by each and every staff of the hospital to me. The resident doctor Mrs. Smite was very kind and helpful all throughout my stay at the hospital. The nursing staff including the juniors and the student nurses were very prompt, professional and warm in their services. They would take extra care to ensure that the patient is comfortable. The ward staff was also very prompt in their work and all of them were always dressed in clean and neat uniforms. The food quality was excellent. The food was very tasty and it was never oily. The quality of food was always very good. The dietician came every single day including Sunday and helped me choose the correct meal by multiple choices and very helpful suggestions. The overall cleanliness and hygiene was excellent and was done without being told.

This is to thank everyone involved in the medical and hospitalization care and assistance given to my mother Mrs Silloo Mistri. My mother is 95 years old, was admitted to Parsee General Hospital on 17.4.21, diagnosed with COVID, and was finally discharged on 25.5.21 having recovered from the infection.
All her family know that overcoming COVID at her age and stage in life was a very difficult task, and was only achieved due to the skill, and dedication of Dr Udwadia, Dr Varun, Dr Rahul, Dr Omkar & Dr Monika, the quality of & compassion shown by, the nursing care provided by Sisters More, Parab, Olinda, Jinsha and many others.
No recovery from such an illness is possible without the care provided by the entire hospital administration and staff. Mrs Kiran Sankat the chief nursing supervisor and all her staff, the ward boys, sisters, the hospital administration, the billing department, cashiers and security staff were always supportive, helpful, prompt and wherever possible, accommodating of our wishes and needs.

Yesterday, my sister and I received our first dose of the Covishield vaccine at Parsi General Hospital. The process was organised seamlessly from start to finish. The warm and courteous staff (special mention to Dr. Anuj Agarwal) guided us every step of the way, politely addressing any questions we had.
The attention to optimum hygiene and safety precautions re-assured us that we were in extremely safe and capable hands. The entire experience was pleasantly smooth with no delays.

Dear team at BD Petit Parsee Hospital,

I write to express my sincere gratitude for the experience I had today while getting my first dose of the vaccine.
From the entry till the point of leaving, I was greeted and helped by someone with utmost kindness and professionalism.
I noticed the guard Mr. prashant was organsing all people orderly in the registration room very diligently. When I thanked him I could almost see him smile through the mask. Also the nurse bhakti spoke so well to me before and after giving me the dose.
I was also offered tea and coffee in the waiting observation area which was a pleasant surprise.
The entire facility was so clean and I was admiring the old architecture.
Between the great staff and beautiful building I completely forgot how anxious medical facilities make me. Also I put a tweet but realized my message may not get to you so really glad Simonil can help me share my sincere thanks with you.

The Rooms were spotlessly clean and one could feel the freshness every minute , with
regular sweeping n swapping. The beautiful Verandah and the view of the Gardens
could make any sick person feel fine and energetic.

The Doctors , Nurses , and all Staff Members were working round the clock without fear

We send this mail as an expression of our appreciation for the dedicated and committed
effort that was put in during the illness and subsequent demise of my sister Silloo Kanji.

Our thanks to Dr. Ichaporia for giving us a patient hearing both over the phone and in person
which assured us a great deal.

The doctors, nurses and staff were extremely courteous and helpful. Initially when Silloo
was in the COVID ward and we couldn’t visit her, nurses would let us know how she was faring.
In fact, Dr. Rahul was kind enough to make a personal call to update us.

Later when she was in the non COVID ICU, and we couldn’t visit her because of the lockdown,

Dear Mr Petit,

I was unfortunate to contract Covid in the 3rd week week of march and but lucky enough to get bed and be admitted into the Covid wing of the hospital on the second floor.
I have to say that from the time I stepped into the casualty department I was examined immediately with courtesy and had a seamless admission process. On reaching my room my treatment started almost immediately by the resident doctor.
I was explained what my treatment was to be when my medication was to be given and tests taken.
All the staff from the ward boys to the nursing staff and doctors were exceedingly prompt whenever I needed anything at all.
My entire experience with the hospital & all the staff including heads of the administration & nursing who visited me daily to ask if I needed anything showed me the kindness and values of the hospital which sets it apart and makes it so special from all the others.
My entire experience was made so much easier to bear by the professionalism and care taken by everyone at the hospital including the physiotherapy department and speaks volumes on how well it has risen to the occasion in these difficult and turbulent times.
My only one wish was that the hospital manage to obtain an HD CT Scan which would be particularly useful at a time like this.
I would once again like to reiterate my thanks and appreciation to all the staff, doctors and administrative department.

Just a short email to set out my grateful thanks for all the assistance and help provided by the Doctors,
the Hospital staff, the Nursing staff and the Administrators of the Hospital when administering the vaccine
to my mother Mrs Silloo D. Mistri.

Mrs Mistri is 95 years old, largely wheelchair bound, suffering from age related ailments which make it
difficult for her the bear prolonged periods of sitting/waiting with a mask on. I had requested General
Ganguly to see if the vaccination process could be undertaken so as to minimize her discomfort.

I am writing to record that the entire process was completed on 13.4.21 with the greatest possible speed
and efficiency. My mother's vaccination was completed within 45 minutes (including the post vaccination
waiting period of 30 minutes), there was ample distancing and fresh air at all times, the CEO and his
office, the hospital staff who registered her, the ward boys who wheeled her chair to the required
locations, the nursing staff who administered the vaccine as well as all the other arrangements were
exemplary.

I am grateful for your service and can only tell you that it is what makes your institution the pride of
our community and the standard for many!

Dear COB colleagues,

After I was tested COVID+ve on 30th March,2021, I was admitted to PGH in our A1 Ward (old Nursing Home Wing) on 31st March. I stayed in the Hospital for six nights and discharged this afternoon. This gave me an opportunity to dispassionately observe the functioning of the Hospital from a close quarter, of course only relating to our prized Wing. I thought I must provide my own feedback to COB members. Hence this mail.

1. We have 22 rooms in this Ward. I was in Room 206 on front side but I used to walk around this Wing, both front as well as back side. Most striking part was the cleanliness of the floor. Spotlessly clean. The lower staff would keep the veranda, rooms and bathrooms under constant cleaning. One would rarely find a spec of dust anywhere, including on furniture, both inside the rooms and outside. Hygiene is therefore maintained at all times, a per-requisite for any hospitals.

2. Punctuality with which tea, breakfasts, lunch and dinner are served. Morning 6.45 tea arrives, followed by breakfast at 8.45. Soup is served at 11.45 and lunch at 12.15 pm. Afternoon tea arrives in rooms by 4 pm and again soup at 6.45 followed by dinner at 7.30. Every day I have seen this done with clock-work precision. The Dietitian Ms Numrah visits every room around 10 am and informing patients of day’s menu, options available, allergies if any, and choice of items and sends food accordingly.

3. Crockery and cutlery are of high quality, always clean and nice. Post meals, ayahs clean the crockery and keep it in the plastic box kept for that in each room. Trays are cleared in time. Never once did I have to remind anyone to clear the tray.

4. Absolutely clean linen which are changed every morning with newly laundered. Napkins, towels, bed sheets, pillow covers etc are daily checked and changed. Again with clock-work precision.

5. Rooms are swabbed three to four times a day. No need to call anyone to clean bathrooms. All these activities seem on auto-pilot. Vinod/Nitin from house-keeping takes around to see if all fixtures are ok and whether any repairs are required.

6. Anytime any patient rings the bell, Ward boy or ayah or sister reaches patient in less than 5 minutes. In all these days, I haven’t heard any complaint from anyone.

7. Nursing was also excellent. Every morning 6.30 sharp, time for injection and checking vitals. Thereafter every two hours oxygen level, temperature, blood pressure etc are checked and recorded. Time to time injections and medication are given. Again, everything moves in tandem. I found entire Ward quiet and peaceful. No shouting, no arguments, nothing, as if everyone knows ones job. Sisters are friendly and take great care of patients. Sister-incharge Priya PARAB deserves kudos for working with zeal and enthusiasm. Perhaps, only problem I found with many Nursing staff was about lack of their knowledge of Hindi and even English. That’s why their level of communication is not very clear. Most of them are new and from Tamil Nadu and Kerala finding their feet in Mumbai. So, Gujarati is out of question. Maybe, time permitting, many of them can be given training in soft skills. But by and large a helpful lot.

8. Special mention must be made about the doctor couple, Dr Rahul and his wife Dr Smita. Dr Rahul takes care of all COVID patients except A1 Ward which is under Dr Smita, taking care of almost 75-80 patients at a time. They are both very popular with patients and look after each one individually. Always smiling and communicating with old and new patients, they seem to me to be the pillars of COVID wards. Fully deserves appreciation. 9. And finally, our CEO Sahab. I think he has brought about these changes in terms of discipline and meticulousness. He takes daily rounds of the hospital and moves into every room and enquires of patients health. Everyone is in awe of him and knows that he would not tolerate indiscipline. Completely under his control, PGH is in safe hands.

In conclusion, let me add that no special treatment was given to me, being a Committee member. All other patients were given the same treatment as vouched by a couple of other known patients in the Ward.

Today the undersigned along with his wife had gone for vaccination at the B. D. Petit Parsee General Hospital, Mumbai, and would like to put on record our appreciation and observations about the manner in which the vaccination was conducted.

In spite of heavy rush today due to opening up of vaccination to citizens with no medical problems between the age group 45 and 60 years. The situation was handled very meticulously and with utmost good care.

Once inside the Hospital the following was observed:

1) Senior citizens were given priority with provision for wheel chair and for others the sitting arrangements were very nicely laid out.

2) The Security personnel and staff were very polite and very co-operative. Separate path for going to 1st floor for vaccination and for coming down were there.

3)There were separate rooms designation for Before and During registration with ample ventilation, lights and fans.

4) Each and every room had washrooms which were very clean and well maintained.

5) Separate section for vaccination was there and the nurses were very polite and explained in detail.

6)2 tablets of Paracetamol were given free of cost, incase if required to be taken.

7) Separate waiting room after vaccination as per the protocol had ample ventilation, lights and fans.

8) There was provision for unlimited tea and coffee with disposable glasses free of cost.

Further would like to highly appreciate the work undertaken by the Petit Family in providing vaccination Free Of Cost to the Parsees as well as Iranis.

We were happy to note that the citizens of other communities though they were charged Rs.250/- for vaccination but they too were provided free of cost tablets and tea and coffee without any discrimination.

The facility provided was like going to a hotel and not hospital.

Once again would like to convey our sincere thanks to the Petit family for the efforts taken during such difficult times.

God Bless, and wishing you and your family health, wealth and happiness to carry on the good work. Our community is truly blessed to have family like yours who have been working relentlessly towards such a good social cause without seeking any publicity and limelight.

I was there in Room 216 from 3rd October to 6th Oct, then General Ward Bed 33 and then Room 217 till 13th Oct. 2020. My wife Diana was in Room 216 from 6th Oct. to 16th October

The people I'd like to compliment mainly were the 2 Resident Doctors, Dr. Rahul and Dr.Smita. They answered all our queries patiently and put us at ease at all times. The Nursing Sister were also efficient and good. The Dieticians used to call us everyday and discuss the menus and though we are vegan, we managed to get just the right meals. The food was delicious.

We were under the care of Dr Armaity Contractor and she really took very good care and got us out of this disease with great ease and comfort.

Last but not the least were the support staff, cleaning the rooms, bringing and taking away the dishes. They were very polite and helpful.

We wish you and the B D Petit Parsi General Hospital all the very best and commend the whole team for putting themselves at risk to this deadly infection for the welfare of their Parsi patients. Even though the rooms were all occupied and there must have been a big burden on the staff, we were made to feel very comfortable.

I am especially grateful to Dr. Rahul, Sister in charge Ms. Madhura and all the nurses who looked after me round the clock in excellent manner and nursed me back to health. The 1 am staff ensure that my room and bathroom & surroundings were cleaned three times daily and remain spic and span. The Hospital food was excellent and the dietician visited everyday to ask my food choice.
Overall I had a 5 star experience in the Parsee General Hospital and I am going home with the added protection of antibodies against the virus.

We were in 3 separate rooms 201, 202 and 203. My wife and I were extremely apprehensive as our son is a Special Child being a Spastic with a Mental Challenge. He has always been with us or an attendant who knew his requirements as he could not speak but indicated his requirements which only we understood. The initial 2 / 3 days were very distressing for us. There was further anxiety as he was put on oxygen along with nasal feeding. Nonetheless your staff handled him well.

I wish to convey our sincere thanks to Parsee General Hospital under your watch. We were well taken care of and here I would specially mention Dr. Rahul Khopragade who, besides his professional manner was instrumental in reassuring us all the time and keeping us updated on our progress..I would also like to mention the Head Nurse Ms. Madhura Ghadi who was constantly encouraging us to have a positive attitude. At the outset, I may inform you that, my mother Mrs. Jaloo J. Hodiwalla, aged 88 years was admitted to The B. D. Petit Parsi General Hospital on 23rd August 2020 as she was getting fever with shivering and other age related problems. Immediately on admission to the hospital she was kept in isolation for 24 hours as per the government guidelines to see whether the patient is suffering from covid19.
Fortunately, my mother was found free from covid. She was then admitted to the Room No. A114, Class A2, on 1st floor, bed charges Rs. 4,840/-under the treatment of Dr. Zarir F. Udwadia. She was detected with malaria and her treatment was started. After the treatment she totally recovered and was given discharge from the hospital on 7th September 2020 (total stay 16 days).
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to your good self, other Trustees, CEO and officials of the Parsi General Hospital. Also I thank Doctor Zarir Udwadia and his assistant Dr. Varun for their wholehearted service and support.
The nursing and support staff of the hospital offered an excellent service to my mother. In addition, I was very impressed with the dignity and respect the nursing staff extended to my mother and other elderly patients regardless of the circumstances they encountered.
The Parsi community will always be grateful to the Parsi General Hospital for incredible support to the community in general and poor class in particular.

I appreciate the entire A2 ward staff for their Excellent Service right round. Please keep it up. And also the cleanliness and Hygienic of the hospital is of high standard.

I as a Patient Dara Homi Satpatiwala is very impressed with the care and love given by the front office staff i.e. Sr Nurses, Head Nurses and the nurses of A2 Ward.

My gratitude goes to also all the Physiotherapist Doctors who with the utmost care & patience who treated me so well. Also to the Asst Doctors of Dr Aditya Agrawal, Miss Karishma and Miss Sweta. They attended all the time and given me hopes of getting well soon. And today I am fit.

I got no words for Dr. Aditya Agrawal he is excellent as a Doctor. He is very jovial and very friendly. In my 14 years sickness I have attended at least 10 specialist doctors, none have impressed me than Dr. Aditya Agrawal. He is to me more than a Doctor my best friend.
I was getting treated in Bombay Hospital from 11th July to 28th July which I was absolutely not impressed by the treatment, I was having in that hospital. In time my friend Dr. Aditya Agrawal recommend me to shift to PGH.

Today I have recovered in this hospital thru him and the entire staff who took care of me. I will always recommend this PGH to everybody about it service & hospitality.

Today I am getting discharged 19th Aug 2020. Let me take the opportunity once again to thanks Dr. Aditya Agrawal and the entire staff of PGH.

Today, i am sending this email to you in reference to his assistant Dr. Noor Khan.

I take this opportunity to appreciate Dr. Noor Khan. He has been there on both the operations, taken care of getting me admitted at casualty.

Once all formalities are completed he has been on call whenever i have called him whether it be for any dressings to be changed or i am not sure of any proceedures they will be doing on me. He would always be able to calm me and explain what is the situation and not to worry as i was in best of hands and everything will be taken care of.

There have been end number of times when he has been called even at 2am or 3am in the morning incase i am not feeling well or am worried about some medication.

Has always attended my calls unless he is assisting the surgeon in any operation.

He was the assistant doctor both the times during my hospitalization and surgery.

There are very few people like him these days in this type of world now.

Hence i would like to appreciate his efforts and all the hard work he puts in to treat each patient as per their needs. We get very few doctors and assistants like them who in future will become doctors and surgeons themself. These are those dedicated staff who do not treat you just as a patient or a bed number. But they also give you the confidence and motivate you to get better and be back on your feet.

I wish him all the best for his future endeavours. A pleasant and extremely helpful and patient doctor. Hopefully see him as a successful doctor surgeon when i see him next.

Dear Sir/Ma’m

I was admitted to your esteemed Hospital on 22nd June 2020 for treatment of Covid-19.  While getting admitted, I could not walk and had to be taken in on a wheelchair.  I am highly diabetic and I was told my blood test parameters were quite high.  I thought this is it – this is the end.   I was told Covid patients have to stay alone in the hospital and I was unsure whether I would see my beloved family again.  But I walked out of the Hospital on 30th June 2020, totally cured and confident to face the world – something I had not imagined doing!

All this was possible with the help of your dedicated

team of doctors, Dr Zarir Udwadia, and his team headed by Dr Rahul – a young and zestful doctor who was very patient and heard every complaint that we the patients made,  and given the fact that he had a very stringent staff to help him, still made sure that we were comfortable.  

I applaud the nurses who I am sure were overworked and

very uncomfortable in their PPE suits, but always responded with a smile for every small request made.

The wardboys, just a handful, were also very co-operative

and I also applaud them for working in such conditions, when most other wardboys, we were told,  were scared to step into the ward. 

We were very apprehensive as to how I would be

discharged, as my family had tested positive and was quarantined at home. In the past, we have found Mr Farrokh Cooper in the Accounts Department to be extremely helpful and understanding, so we approached him and he directed us and with his help the whole process was simplified.  As always, we are very grateful for his support.

And last but not the least, I salute Lt Gen Ganguly who

managed the Covid  ward beautifully, as part of his duties and took utmost care of every patient.  He listened patiently to us and made arrangements for whatever shortfall was there.  The hospital is truly lucky to have such an able administrator and  I am extremely grateful to him.

In these challenging times, it is very heartening to know

that “Aapri” Parsee General Hospital is also capable of rising to the occasion.  I, as a patient, was quite comfortable with my stay at the hospital.  I greatly appreciate the fact that the charges are not very different from a pre-Covid situation, which is a big relief.  I thank the Trustees of the Parsee General Hospital for putting up the Covid ward at short notice, and would highly recommend others to come here for  their  treatment.

I am writing this letter to offer the deepest feelings of respect and gratitude I bare in my heart towards the management, the doctors, the nursing staff and the administrative staff of the hospital.
I was admitted to room no. 211 of the Nursing Home on the 5th of December, 2019 for a bilateral hernia surgery under Dr. Kayomarz Kapadia. I had a brief stay of 6 days at the hospital and my experience there was so good, that I had to write to thank you all. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to write earlier.
The competency of the all the doctors, from my surgeon, the in-house doctors (especially Dr. Noor Khan and Dr. Arun Chavan who were so attentive, caring and patient), the nursing staff, the cleaning staff, the food, the dieticians, the personal care to detail, the observance of cleanliness and hygiene, the willingness of one and all to make the patient so very comfortable and at ease, was awe inspiring. A special thanks to Dr. Ganguly and Lt. Col. Kiran who made their daily rounds without fail, to ascertain that all was in shipshape condition. If one had to get admitted to a hospital, one couldn't have asked for a better stay and experience than the one I had at The Parsee General Hospital. I want to let you all know that I am very grateful for the stellar services provided and that too, always with a smile.

Dear Sir,
I wanted to take a moment to share my appreciation and acknowledge the wonderful service of all the members at the hospital. My dad Hoshi Marolia, was hospitalized recently and was a resident patient at the hospital from 30th March 2020 up to his discharge on 27th April 2020. During this period, I too was present and residing with dad all throughout and was able to experience first-hand the wonderful service of the B.D. Petit Parsee General Hospital.
I have personally experienced other hospitals in the recent past and in spite of the hospital being cheaper in overall charges, the support and services stand out even above other hospitals. I wanted to take this opportunity to highlight a few of the exceptional points that made the difference during our stay:
One of the biggest advantages the hospital possesses and one that we leveraged the most was the wonderful rooms and the serene garden. The atmosphere in the hospital and the frequent visits to the garden was instrumental in the speedy recovery of my dad. I must personally say that in a crowded city like ours, such a beautiful enclosure really helps everyone at the hospital.
The service of the doctors and management team absolutely deserves a special mention. From the inhouse doctors (Dr Prasanna and Dr Karishma) to the assistance of all other doctors including Dr Ansari, Dr Prasad, etc who were available to assist whenever the they were required. Even the frequent morning rounds from the management team including yourself was a delight and gave us the sense of assurance and the realisation of care for patients that you’ll provide.
The office administrative staff from the Admin office, to the cashier and security who always greeted with a smile and addressed all the queries and concerns in a moment.
A special thanks to the physio therapy team who have been available and dedicating extra hours to help with the patients’ recovery and treatment. A special mention to Dr Pallavi who initially was the only person on duty for a week yet performed her duties beyond the best of her capabilities and always greeted with a smile whenever she came.
A big appreciation to the nursing staff at A2 ward and I wanted to mention them by names as listed below who have helped out at every moment without any expectations in return. A pleasure to always see them with a smile and treat my dad with all the care and respect.

Above and beyond the help from various staff members I really wanted to take a moment to appreciate the B.D. Petit Parsee General Hospital for the below:
Prompt action and care that was taken when a patient was detected Covid positive. The quick response, isolation of ICU rooms and mass testing of staff is highly appreciated. It is because of these precautionary steps that the hospital and all its members and staff were safe when most other hospitals we hear today reporting so many cases from a single instance.
The wonderful food that we were served during our stay including the relative’s meals. To be able to have such fresh, rich and nutritional meals at a time like this is highly appreciated.
The great doctors you have on panel and I was fortunate to have my dad under the care of Dr Pettarusp Wadia who in spite of the lockdown and all other measures was there regularly to take care of and treat my dad.
In summary I just wanted to convey my appreciation and gratitude for all the efforts and care taken by all members of the B.D. Petit Parsee General Hospital.

Dear All, My mother Mrs. Gool Bhujwala and I, Faredoon (Dodo) Bhujwala are deeply grateful and would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts and compliment the entire staff and Management of the Parsi General Hospital for your caring kindness. We greatly appreciate your maintaining this haven of a healing refuge which helped my mother recover post her hip replacement during the Covid 19 pandemic and lockdown which we went through without a hitch or feeling the tension of the outside world. We feel truly blest and lucky that our ancestors had the foresight to create such a wonderful haven for us to heal and recuperate in. The imposing yet homely edifice and the beautiful regenerative trees and garden soothe and energise both patient and care givers. Thank you again, we pray that you all have the power, strength and where with all to continue the good work. May the Force be with you! The CEO, Mr. Ganguly’s daily visit assured us that we were in good hands. Nurse Sakshi and her team were vigilant and took care of my mothers health care lovingly and a big thank you to the maids who attended to her ablutions and other needs patiently. Kudos to the kitchen staff for the good healthy food and the caring ward boys like Mohammed Khalid Beig who delivered meals with good cheer and warmth making it all such a wonderful experience! Infact it has been so good that we feel like extending our stay here in room number 9 class A3 on the ground floor of Parsi General Hospital and not go home for a while longer! - P.G.H. – has a homely atmosphere starting from the spacious lay out to the impeccable maintenance, the hospital is a cut above any other medical facility in the city.
- The courtesy of the staff at the reception through Casualty & transfer to the I.C.U. & later to the N.H. Room is commendable!
- A special mention of the Doctors, nurses & auxiliary staff of both I.C.U. & the N.H. Ward is in place. They are dedicated efficient & eager to make the patients & their attendants comfortable.
- The food-front is very good. The dietician is willing to go that extra mile to cater to the patient’s need & palate.
- Tea-trays, meals come on time & the presentation is appetising.
- Over-all a very pleasant experience.

My words fall short to express my sincere gratitude to the entire Parsee General family for taking great care and giving hope to late Gev. P. Mistry over the past 2 years on several occasions of his stay at Parsi General. From the ward boy to nurse to the admin staff & the doctors to the trustees all played their wonderful role in giving care and hope that a patient needs more then medicine. Thank You Mrs. Pervin Jehangir for hearing and helping out. Doc Varun for seeing Gev P Mistry through his entire journey of care and hope. Doc Boman Dhabhar Sir for his medicine and philantrophy. I can’t thank enough all the nurses, ward boys and the admin staff. Visiting Parsi General and meeting various patients in the hospital; always gave me a feeling of warmth one hope. As the discharge date of my brother Jamshed Mistry (bed no 17 free male ward) draws close, I take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude and sincere appreciation to the team of doctors, nurses and subordinate staff who played pivotal role in healing of my brother. The selfless service rendered by Drs Tehmton Udvadia, Mahinoor Desai Dr. Noor Shweta and others is simply exemplary and extraordinary. The doctor’s visits were consistent and regular to monitor all aspects and respond to medical needs. In addition, I was very much impressed with the dignity and respect the nursing staff extended to the elderly patients regardless of circumstances encountered. I am also grateful for the guidance and help given by Mr. Ghaswalla for completing administrative procedure I wish all the doctors well and sincerely pray that they continue their noble work of healing for a long time to come. I got my mother Mrs Banoo M Dalal admitted to the hospital on 15th January, 2020 around 12 noon, when she was in a very serious condition with some of her critical parameters having gone haywire, due to the multiple illnesses she has. She is currently in Section A-3, Room No. 4 on the ground floor. We came to the hospital despite the misgivings that some of my family and parsee community friends have about P G Hospital, based on INCORRECT external perceptions. Our experience from the moment we stepped in has been fantastic. The staff right from the security, to the nurses, to the ayahs and ward boys, to the various lab personnel, have been extremely polite, helpful and caring. >From within the comparatively limited resources and talent that the hospital has, at every step we have got the best of care and service! Today as I write this, thanks to Dr Farokh Udwadia's legendary expertise, my mother is making steady recovery. A month ago I had frequently visited a very renowned and modern hospital in the western suburbs, as another family member of mine had been admitted there for a cardiac procedure. While that particular hospital has the most modern of equipment and size and scale on its side, where it pales in comparison to our P G hospital is the attitude and warmth of our staff. To my mind, for every patient and their caregivers this is an equally if not more important factor, which contributes to successful their treatment and wellbeing. I decided to pen this note to put on record, my sincere appreciation of the wonderful work being done by the entire team at the BDP Parsee General Hospital. I am sure this is largely due to the leadership and guidance provided by you and your senior staff. Thank You & big God Bless to all members of the P G Hospital team.

Since the 31st of August 2016 till the 22nd of May2019, I was closely connected with your esteemed hospital. My sister Coomi Selod was administered superb treatment at the hospital on each occasion that she was admitted perhaps15/17 times. At first she was a paying patient but as our funds dried up she was treated as a free patient. Each time she was admitted she spent most of the time in the ICU. Your most dedicated nurses, doctors and support staff made her very comfortable by talking to her, explaining how to better her life by not giving up and general pep talk. Drs. Anupama, Sachin, Anuj and Aditi the other names fail me, but all of them administered and cared for Coomi like she was their own. The matron, nurses and brothers ever so quick to respond to her needs and each one willing to give her a patient hearing especially when she was depressed. They all would go by and encourage her to eat her meals and so Coomi felt at home with each one of them. 3 yrs in and out of ICU I guess a kind of comradeship developed. I would also like to mention that the staff captained by sister Matilda too were quite hands on. Sister Matilda is firm and runs a tight ship keeping patient’s interest in mind. A God send to PGH. The nurses Mable and Kavita, Hormaz and the staff at OPD always keeping patients updated about drs comings and goings as patients get restless. Quickly and quietly going about their business and seeing that patients got to see their respective doctors. Those dispensing free medicines, patiently explaining dosages, the admission staff, Mr. Ghaswalla, the pathology and X-ray departments, watchmen, the ward boys and women support staff, physiotherapist and cashiers also the billing staff all were always courteous, kind and patient. Though my sister was treated as a free patient for a couple of years, not once were we made to feel insignificant and unimportant nor were we spoken to rudely or condescendingly. My sister Coomi passed away on 22nd May last year. I apologise that it has taken me 8 mths to thank you and all your staff and doctors for the hard, diligent and honest work they put in each day. I think our community is blessed to have the services of such dedicated personnel.

He was like a pillar of strength for us in our painful times. His constant supervision, patience and care helped my mother a lot. I the under signed have been taking treatment in your esteemed hospital since last nine months. During my tratement period I have come across Dr’s, Nursing Staff who had treated me. They are extremely good in nature and deserve appreciation letter from your good office.
Dr’s who are well experience are (a) Dr (Ms) C N Dubash (b) Dr S Golwalla (c) Dr Noor Khan. They have treated me with great care and have saved my leg.
General Manager Mr. Aspi Kathawalla was also cooperative and given suggestion time to time. Sister Sarvar OT incharge is very cooperative and a loyal in her work. She looks after the theatre with loyalty and dedication. Sister Seema who looks after the admission procedure is polite in nature and guides us whenever we approach her.
All the above were cooperative and polite in their behaviour never to say other staff have also given service in a cooperative manner.

I am very pleased with the service I received particularly from the Administrative Office. A young man whose name is Rezad gave me great service always. He was very competent and patient and thorough in guiding me. I would also like to mention Mr. Cooper who has helped me more than once, in special circumstances, by putting himself in my shoes and resolving what could have been a very stressful situation for me. Homiyar at the cash counter is consistently competent and pleasant to deal with.

I am Daisy Bulsara daughter of Mrs. Freny Bulsara. My mother was admitted in your hospital in the month of August 2019 under Dr. Zarir Udwadia. Dr. Zarir and his assistant Dr. Varun treated her very well and looked after her well. Dr. Noor Khan also helped her in all the ways.
Doctor Noor Khan who treated my mother in the year 2018 in the month of February took great care of my mother and my mother was very fond of him and made him her son. Dr. Noor Khan used to visit her almost every 2/3 times a day. He is like a family member to us. 
My mother was again admitted on 4th October, 2019. Her condition was not good. Again Dr. Noor Khan was very helpful to us and made her comfortable. She expired on the same day. Dr. Noor Khan was besides her bed. I was so happy to see Dr. Noor Khan. My mother’s blessing are always with him.
I am heartened to know that you have such great doctors in your hospital Special mention to Dr. Noor Khan, who had shown exceptional kindness and dedication to my mother. We are extremely grateful that your hospital provides the best healthcare and facilities to the well being of our society.

My 87 year old mother, Thrity Readymoney was admitted to the ICU on the 10th of May and discharged on the 5th of June. My late brother , Khushroo N Karanjia, was admitted to the Parsee General Hospital on 21st March, 2019. Sadly he expired due to a terminal illness on 29th May,2019. I wish to place on record my sincere Appreciation of the excellent Nursing Care rendered to him by the Nursing Staff as well as the subordinate staff during his illness. They were so helpful and efficient in taking care of Khushroo’s needs, that I did not feel the need to engage a private nurse or ward boy. My mother Mrs. Dolly F. Pithawalla was treated for elevated Potassium levels by Dr. Farokh Udwadia and his team. I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the Doctors , Nurses and other Staff including the Administrative staff and the hotel services staff for the services rendered.They have always been very polite and co-operative and have rendered assistance joyfully. Special Thanks also for Ms Sabiha Rauf Siddiqui ( Dietician ) for being very attentive towards my mother’s dietary requirements. I am writing this letter to tell you that I had an extremely pleasant stay in the Parsi General Hospital when I was admitted there around 10 days ago for observation as I was suffering from Malaria. The room was extremely pleasant, the quality of nursing was at par with the best hospitals of Bombay that I have seen and the beautiful way in which the gardens and lawns were maintained was the talk of much discussions amongst my family and friends who had come to see me. The food was by far the best that a person could hope to get while in a hospital. Am sure that you and your team are all doing an excellent job in running Parsi General Hospital and just wanted to write this E Mail to convey my best wishes to you al.

Attending word rounds with senior doctors, Doting out medicines each day, Dealing with patients so tactfully, In a gentle, compassionate way. This is to place on record our sincere gratitude and appreciation for : Dr. Sachin , Dr. Ashish , Dr. Anupama and Dr. Priyamvada – the Doctors in the ICU who work tirelessly, round-the clock, to ensure complete comfort and care of all patients in the ICU. A hearty “ Thank You “ to all the Doctors in the ICU. Thanks also to the team of Physiotherapists. Their efforts and dedication has put my mother back on her feet.A big Thank You also to the dietician, Ms. Sabiha Rauf Siddiqui. She understands the condition and needs of the patient and suggests a meal chart accordingly. On the day of discharge, Ms. Sabiha took the the trouble to chart out the various options for all meals with a complete list of Do’s and Don’ts.Our concerns and queries were very well answered by her. She is indeed knowledgeable. Our sincere thanks to Ms. Sabiha. And finally, a big “ Thankyou “ to all the support staff ( Sisters , Brothers , Mehtranis , Wardboys, etc.) in the ICU and also to the Security Personnel (especially Mr. Singh at the ICU) for their service with a smile.

I was very blessed to have brought my son Rahzin to our very respected and appreciated Hospital, during our trip to Mumbai. Not once, but unfortunately, he was admitted three times to the Hospital during our stay in Mumbai. We were to have a 20 day trip here but his illness, forced me to extend mystay. We were very blessed to have had Dr. Zarir. He is a very skilled, caring and a truly very noble physician. We were put at ease by him, being thousands of miles away from home. The gastroenterologist, Dr. F Mistry was equally a wonderful physician to have on board, to take care of my son. Priya and her nursing staff are truly angels of mercy. Priya made me feel at ease right fromthe beginning and the days, because of my I'll health could not come, I knew my son would be taken care of. The one person who excels in her duties is, Kiran Sankat, Nursing Superintendent. Now the kind of diligence, dedication and understanding of a parent's concerns that were shown by her, were very remarkable. She got things done and right away. My family and I are very thankful to have chosen this magnificent hospital that has weathered financial ups and downs yet continues to serve our community.Wishing the very best to you and your staff and may our beloved Parsee General Hospital continue providing the health care in the future years to come.

My mother was admitted to the Hospital on 25/09/2018 for colonoscopy and got operated for prolapsed of the rectum on 27/09/2018 by efficient Dr. Kaiyomarz Kapadia and his team. Dr. Noor Khan and Dr. Arun Chavan were very patient and sympathetic before and after the operation. Dr. Noor would visit us even twice a day. Dr. Arun came specially to our room to explain with the help of a diagram, how the operation was done. I am very thankful to Dr. Noor Khan & Dr. Arun for making our stay comfortable.

I was admitted to the Parsee General Hospital in the C Ward Bed No.CM12. On the 10th of October 2018 late at night, lot of pain had occurred to me. I call for the Houseman as late as nearly 1 o’clock at night. To my surprise and happiness, one Dr. Noor Khan came rushing and was immediately there for me. Such Doctors are very rare. This is in commendation and my appreciation for the same. Thanks Dr. Noor. I wish to say thanks to the umpteen number of Nurses (inclusive of all the belts) the students, the Ward boys, the cleaning staff and ofcourse above and all, the Doctors who run this edifice ‘The Parsee General Hospital’ endlessly, untiringly. At the onset, let me congratulate you & your team for the stupendous work you are doing in running the Parsi General Hospital so efficiently & well. I have been regularly accompanying Miss Tehmi Sarkari, a free patient who lives in Dr. Dosibai Home at Byculla since the last 3 years. The monthly visit to the Parsee General Hospital entails an OPD visit for Dr. A Contractor’s consultation and a change of ‘Supra Pubic’ Catheter in the casualty ward. Miss Tehmi Sarkari joins me in thanking all the staff and doctors, especially Dr. Noor for being very efficient, a thorough gentleman always polite and soft spoken. Infact, Tehmi insists only on Dr. Noor to change the catheter and he always makes the time to complete the procedure however busy he may be. May The B. D. Petit Parsee General Hospital with its soothing ambience and excellent staff and facilities progress from strength to strength and continue doing the excellent work for our community for years to come!

A year back when my friend Daulat Driver was very sick & unable to move herself, it was a great relief when Ms. Nilufer Bam helped us move her to PGH under care and in safe hands. I would like to thank you and your excellent staff for having looked after my friend Daulat Driver for nearly 4 months. You all really made her feel at home and she thoroughly enjoyed staying at PGH. It was the perfect place for her. She loved her dormitory, admired Matilda and all the staff who worked under her. You all helped her walk, eat and hugged her when she felt she was alone. That is how we know these old persons who are not wanted by the family have a place to stay. Having been independent all her life, it was not easy to blend with other people.. I would like to thank all the Doctors, Nurses, Maids & Ward Boys who have diligently taken care of her. All this was bearable because we had loveable matron, nurse and care takers. During the time of discharge, I was to tip all the maids & ward boys, but Matilda was stern in telling us No Tips. Once again, I thank Matilda & her team for taking such good care of my friend.
