In keeping with our endeavour to provide the latest in medical care, the Department of Pathology is a separate specialized department. It has different specialized units such as Bio chemistry, Haematology, Microbiology, Histopathology, Immunology and specialized investigations. Each specialized unit is run by a dedicated team of highly trained professionals, who use the latest equipments. The modern pathology laboratory is a complex operation that relies on the skills and teamwork of many people to ensure that each patient and doctor receives the best service possible.
Department Function
Once the specimen arrives in the department it is directed to the appropriate unit based on the investigations required. All units work in close co-operation with each other, as most specimens require processing in more than one specialized unit.

Routine investigation reports are available the same day. Emergency reports are available within an hour.

Bio-Chemistry Test
The laboratory is equipped with fully automated random access bio-chemistry analyzer which can carry out various investigations like Lipid Profile, Kidney Function Test, Liver Function Test, Cardiac Profile, etc.

Haematology
The laboratory is equipped with a fully automated analyzer, which can accurately detect blood parameters in less than a minute. It is useful in diagnosis of haematological conditions like anaemia, leukemia, etc.

Histopathology
The laboratory examines significant histology specimens per year. FNAC’s are also conducted.

Microbiology
The laboratory is conducting urine, stool and blood culture and giving reliable antibiotic sensitivity reports.

Immunology & Specialized Investigations
T3 T4 TSH, PSA, etc. are routinely done.
